The Return of Pulp...
In their heyday in the first half of the 20th century, the pulp fiction magazines, filled with fast-paced sensational stories and boasting captivating cover art, were hugely popular, with the most successful pulps selling a million copies per issue. They gave birth to the modern-day comic book, as well as most forms of genre fiction still read today. The pulp format eventually declined (especially in the 1950s) with rising paper costs, competition from comic books, television, and the paperback novel.
Adamant Entertainment wants to change that. We want to bring back the excitement and thrill of filling the mind's eye with apocalyptic struggles of good vs. evil! We yearn to rekindle the fire left by the legacy of America's literary Golden Age. To that end, we're bringing you Pulp for the New Millennium.
Thrilling Tales
Thrilling Tales began as a pulp-genre role-playing game, released by Adamant Entertainment in 2004. In February 2008, it has been joined by a quarterly magazine of the same name. The top authors in the pulp revival and RPG fields give you tales of new heroes and brand-new stories featuring classic heroes as well!

The classic pulps offered much-needed escapism to their readers -- in a world that seemed increasingly hopeless and hard, the pulps gave a respite from that bleakness, if only for a few hours. Gone were the worries about the economy (the Great Depression), war (the growing tensions in Europe) and the environment (the Dust Bowl), replaced by the thrill of facing down villains with crime-fighters, soaring through the clouds with air aces, or travelling to far-off worlds. In today's world, which can at times seem just as dark (if not worse), heroes are needed more than ever. Adamant Entertainment is proud to bring those heroes to you...and their Thrilling Tales.
